When I started writing my novel, I only had three scenes in my head: the opening temptation scene, the jailbreak, and the big finale. I wrote them all in a few days, then had to fill in the massive blanks that connected them.

 I love me some Escape games. I mean, I just really love them. So when a behind the scenes tour got added to our silent auction roster for TN Game Days Fall, a board game convention I help organize that raises money for Extra Gaming for Extra Life, I bid that sucker up.

...built a bunkbed with a manly man.

This is a sad story. 

My father-in-law bought a couple hundred acres in rural Tennessee. He carved a road with a tractor, cut down a lot of trees, milled a whole lot of wood, and built a house. Damn, that's a manly man. Ron Swanson had nothing on Kendall Patterson.

...moved to Middle Tennessee because of an e-mail.

There's not a lot to this story, but it's moderately interesting. I'm from Tulsa, Ok. I'd lived my first 28 years there; went to the same school from 1st-12th grade, and went to work at my old high school after college which was also in Tulsa. Yeah: Tulsa, Tulsa, Tulsa.
